Aster Lake Backcountry Campground
Description
Aster Lake Backcountry Campground is 10.8 km from the trailhead via Upper Kananaskis Lake Circuit/Aster Lake Route Trail. The Hike to get there is recomended for experienced hikers only. There are 5 Tent spots (patch grass not tent pads) situated in an Open Meadow with Stunning Mountain View! Water is supplied via the natural flowing creek. There are Pit/Vault Toilets on location as well as secured food storage lockers. Beware, this trail is 10.8 km one way with 550 meters of elevation gain and is rated hard, but the peaceful, serene beauty is worth it!
Camping Fee is $12/ Night/ Person. Open June 24 until November 30th
